In this section we will explore all the possibilities of the Traditional Hyung Of Tang Soo Do. And offer possible applications for the movements within the hyungs. This will be accomplished through Picture and video explination. Members feel free to send in your photo's and video's and they will be placed up as an educational and teaching tool for members and students of Tang Soo Do world wide. This clip is Great Grand Master Robert (Bobby) Bell explaining the Japanese Heian shodan, Okinawan Pinan Ni dan, and Korean Pyung Ahn Cho dan raising the arm and hammer strike Bunkai.

Pyung Ahn Sam dan Cresent Kick, elbow and hammer strike. In this clip I show that in other systems Okinawan and Japanese their is no cresent kick. It was added in Tang Soo Do. To make the kick work one would have to alter the bunkai by stepping back. a look at two applications.

Pyung Ahn Cho Dan Bunkai

First an alternative for the low block / hammer strike shown as a grappling application / escape.
next the low block up the middle of the hyung followed by the open hand check. In this application it is a strike to groin followed by a take down. Close range striking and grappling application.
